Joseph “Giusep” Cicco, 54, of Carbondale, passed away peacefully Monday evening at Regional Hospital of Scranton after a brief illness. He was a caring father, son, and brother who will be deeply missed.
Born Saturday, July 21, 1962 in Carbondale, PA, Joe was the son of Jean Van Sickle Cicco and the late Joseph Cicco. He was a graduate of Western Wayne High School and his passion of cooking was the driving force behind the success of his business, Giuseppe’s Pizza & Hoagies, for 20 plus years serving the Mid Valley and Forest City areas. Joe was the happiest at family dinners and holidays gatherings. It was during those times that he united others through his God given culinary talents. Most recently, Joe managed Beer Guy Pizza in his hometown of Carbondale. He loved the outdoors and lived for vacations with family & friends. He was an avid skier and hunter, however, his most enjoyable time was spent riding his Harley.
Along with his mother, Joe is also survived by a son, Tyler; a daughter, Alyssa, both of Peckville; brothers, James and John, both of Waymart, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
