The Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home of Archbald, Pennsylvania is a family operated funeral home established in 1986 by Louis J. Rapoch with his wife, Karen, by his side. Allen and Jill Anne Dryzal joined the funeral home family in July 2014.
The location was strategically chosen across the street from the largest church in the area. An older two-story home was purchased, renovated, and added to, with the assistance of Louis' father, and Karen's cousin. A neighboring home was purchased recently, to provide additional parking. A serenity garden behind the funeral home provides families with privacy and a calming environment.
When they opened the funeral home, the Rapoches were determined to provide a celebration of life, befitting the family's loved one, as opposed to mourning death. Families are encouraged to show every aspect of their loved one's life. Whether it be as simple as a baseball cap, or as extreme as parking their loved one's motorcycle outside, viewings and services are very personal.
Advanced Planning Coordinator Jill Anne Dryzal observed, "With the ever changing needs of our industry, we find it a rewarding experience to have our families inform us that, we made a difficult situation go smoother, and less emotional."
