James Francis Hart

James Francis Hart, 86, a lifelong resident of Archbald, formerly of 121 Ash Street, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Saturday, July 09, 2016. He was the husband of the late Helen (Kinsella) Hart, who passed May 04, 2007.

Born in Peckville, Pa., son of the late Francis and Alice Green Hart, he was a carrier for the United States Postal Service. He proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corp., in the Korean conflict. A graduate of the 1949 class at Archbald High School, he was also a member of the Ambrose-Revel American Legion Post #328. ‘Jimmy’ was a member of Christ the King Parish, and the Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his sons Jerry and wife, Amanda Hart, Archbald; James and wife Nancy Hart, Binghamton, N.Y.; daughters Rosemary Williams and husband Joseph, Peckville, Peggy Higgins and husband Steve, Westerville, Ohio; grandchildren Katie Hart, Shane Hart, Christian Hart, Jim Hart, Ella Hart, Matthew Higgins, Colin Higgins, and several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding him in death are his brothers William ‘Billy’, and Gerald Hart.

There will no viewing hours but, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 1:30 pm, at Christ the King Parish, Archbald. A private inurnment will be at the request of the family. For directions, or online condolences, visit www.rapochfuneralhome.com.
