LOUIS & KAREN RAPOCH

LOUIS & KAREN RAPOCH

Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home was established June 1, 1986, which was Louis’s lifelong dream. He carefully selected the location across the street from Christ the King Parish, Archbald, & within the Valley View School District, having lived & graduated from VVHS in 1971.  While attending mortuary school, he continued to assist his parents, Louis A & Mary Jane Murphy Rapoch by working at Rappoccio’s Lounge in Peckville. Here he learned the importance of being a good listener, the value of hard work & to provide to individuals’ specific needs.

A Cum Laude graduate from S.U.N.Y. at Farmingdale, Long Island in 1975, he has been a licensed director ever since. Prior to his own establishment, he worked for other funeral homes in Dickson City, Old Forge, Dunmore and Honesdale areas. In 1986, he opened his sole proprietorship funeral home at 420 Church Street in Archbald. Shortly following, he married the former Karen R Wall of Jessup, & through the years together, they worked toward providing a healing celebration for your loved one that is respectful & caring. Each family served, has become an extension of the Rapoch Funeral Home family, & Louis & Karen both acknowledge, they are enriched and truly blessed. 2019 marks 33 years of continuing service to the community of Eynon, Archbald and surrounding areas.

Louis truly cares for the families he serves & his community alike. He is available to make a difference & has set high standards, which is vitally important.  At the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, it is Mr. Rapoch’s desire to provide for you the best quality of service, care & compassion, at a fair price. He takes great pride in assuring your every need is met & satisfaction in your time of need, & in assisting & completing after service details.  He specializes in personalizing, customizing & forming a strong bond & trusted friendship.

Louis is available 24/7. He oversees all aspects of the memorial experience to make a lasting memory, less stressful and worry free.

Louis, in his 'time off' enjoys playing a good round of golf, his Sunday morning crossword puzzle, & sitting in his recliner with his fur babies. He is an active participant of the Eynon-Archbald Lion's Club's community events, often serving as chairman. He is a charter member & the first at the club, to be the recipient of the Melvin Jones Award.  A member of Christ the King Parish, Archbald, he participated in the adult choir & works at the annual church picnic, seen flipping the potato pancakes, & occasionally donning his apron at the St Francis Kitchen's lunch at St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesdays. The Rapoch's reside in Mayfield.
