Helen Kathrine (Fallon) Stefalo, 83, Eynon, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side Monday afternoon at home. She was the wife of the late William John Stefalo.
Born Saturday, May 06, 1933 in Throop, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Elizabeth (Simpson) Fallon. Helen was a graduate of Throop High School, a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, and Christ the King Parish, St Mary Czestochowa Catholic Church, Eynon, and the church picnic committee. Before retirement, she was employed by Parodi Cigars, and Sugarman’s Clothing Factory.
Surviving are her son William R., Eynon, daughters Kathleen Gawlik, Scranton, Karen and her husband Glenn Snyder, Eynon, and Eileen and her husband Kenneth Hawley, Eynon, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Anne Marie Fallon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was also preceded in death by her grandson James Liptai-Gawlik, 11 brothers, and 1 sister.
The family wishes to extend sincere acknowledgement to Helen’s best friend Olga Lorenzetti, her niece Gloria Merli, and the nurses at Traditional Home Health and Hospice, Dunmore, for their compassion and gentleness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 5 p.m. at Christ the King Parish, St. Mary Czestochowa Catholic Church, 417 Main Street, Eynon. Family and friends may call Wednesday, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Louis J Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church Street, Archbald. Interment will be 10 a.m. Thursday, at First Primitive Methodist Church Cemetery, 516 Jackson Street, Dickson City.
