Paula Marie (Koltis) Kaub, 61, Archbald, passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side, Tuesday, at home after a 21 year courageous battle with cancer. Her husband of 39 years is William E. Kaub, Jr.
Born Sunday, July 31, 1955 in Peckville, she was a daughter of Andrew Anthony and Anna S Dobrowolski Koltis. Paula was a 1973 graduate of Valley View High School and a 1975 graduate of Keystone Junior College with an Associate’s Degree in Medical Transcription. Before retirement, she was a data extraction specialist with Moses Taylor Hospital, later known as Commonwealth Hospital. She was a member of Christ the King Parish, St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Archbald, where she was a wedding coordinator. Paula loved traveling with Bill, especially her trips to Israel, Italy and cruising to throughout the Caribbean.
Paula is also survived by her sons Bradley, Dickson City, and Eric and wife Melissa, Dunmore; her daughter Jennifer and husband Daniel, Bushkill, and the light of her life, granddaughter Veronica S. Shiner, Bushkill; brother Gerald and wife Sheila Koltis; sisters Andrea and husband Michael Spataro, Annette Koltis Novak, and Mary Ellen and husband Kevin Gaffney; her father and mother-in-law William E. Sr. and Mary Kaub, Throop.
Paula was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Edward Novak Sr.
Paula’s family wishes to sincerely acknowledge her oncologist Dr. Heim, the radiologists at Advanced Imaging and also the infusion staff at Commonwealth Health for the many years of expert care. In addition, Paula was continuously supported by her amazing friends and loving family throughout her fight.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 429 Church Street, Archbald with the interment to follow at the church cemetery. Family and friends may call Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Louis J Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church Street, Archbald.
