Obituary

Scott A. Mozdziock, 58, of Eynon, died following a liver transplant, Monday, March 28 at Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia surrounded by his affectionate brother and sister. He bravely and courageously “took a ride” of his final journey that day.

Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen Matti Mozdziock. A graduate of Valley View High School, class of 1982 and Johnson College of Technology, Scranton, where he received a welding degree.  Prior to his illness, Scott was employed as a truck driver for a local retail firm.  He took pride in being a lifetime member of the Eynon VFW Auxiliary Post #7963, and a member of Sons of American Legion Post #328, Archbald.

Scott was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing whenever he could. He was a man of great character with a comforting smile. Riding his Harley Davidson provided him great enjoyment.  At social gatherings, he was the life of the party and will be greatly missed.

Surviving is a caring brother, Joseph J. Mozdziock and wife Marialena (Cooki), Chino Valley, AZ; and devoted, loving sister, Mary Carol Mozdziock and companion, John (Dobie) Dobasewski, Eynon; nephew Joseph and wife Jessica, and great-nieces Savana Porter and Sadie Grace Mozdziock.

The funeral will be Saturday, April 30, 2022 with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Eynon, Christ the King Parish.  Family will receive condolences at the church prior to mass beginning at 9 AM. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Scott’s name to Gift of Life Donor Program or the Einstein Medical Center Patient Advocate Foundation in Philadelphia.  Following the mass, a celebration of Scott’s life will be held at Eynon VFW Post 7963.
