Robert "Herbie" Curtis, 77, Archbald, died Monday at Geisinger CMC. His fiancé and love of his life, is Betty Ann Kellogg.
Born in Peckville, he was a son of the late Henry and Mary Dougher Curtis. He attended Archbald schools and drove truck for Mid-Valley Refuge in the 1980's. Before retirement, he was employed at General Dynamics, Eynon.
Herbie loved having a good time. He enjoyed Atlantic City casino trips. People often called him either Mayor or Captain, when he arrived anywhere. After retirement, he enjoyed driving his girls, to and from, Scranton Prep. Corvettes were his passion and he could be seen cruising around, waving and smiling.
Surviving are sons: Marty Supeck, and Wife, Jill, Childs; Robert Curtis and Wife, Angelina, Carbondale; Daughter, Amy Lynn Curtis, Carbondale; children of Fiancé Betty Ann, Al and CJ Kellogg, Lake Ariel; Grandchildren, Katie Clark and husband, Jesse; RJ Malinchak, Carly Smith, Will and Ben Supeck and Leah, Tyler and Cole Kellogg, nieces and nephews, Brother; John “Jack” and Wife, Margaret, Texas; Sisters: Barbara Sidlauskas and husband, David, California; Margaret “Peggy” Farina and Husband, Gary, Archbald; Judy Gilroy and Husband, John, Archbald; Brother in law, Thomas Dolph, Archbald; Sister-in-law, Mary Jane Curtis, Massacheusetts.
Preceding him in death were brothers, Gerald "Moe" Curtis, Eugene "Beaner" Curtis, Infant brother, Thomas, Sister Mary Dolph, niece, Mary Collette Sullivan, and nephew David Sidlauskas.
The funeral will be Saturday April 23, 2022 at 10AM with Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald. Friends are asked to go directly to church, the day of the funeral.
Viewing will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St., Archbald.
