Richard J. Goldovich Sr, died Monday morning at Regional Hospital, Scranton. He was the widower of Ann Marie" Tootie" Marion Goldovich who passed away September 20, 2022.
Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Edward and Angeline Pierotti Goldovich. He was a graduate of Archbald High School and after graduating, he enlisted in the Army, where he served in Vietnam with the 613th Engineering Battalion for the 101st Airborne Division until his transfer to the Army reserve. Richard was employed as a satellite communication technician at Tobyhanna Army Depot until retirement.
He was a member of Christ the King Parish, Archbald, American Legion Post # 869, and the Shopa- Davey Post 6082, VFW, Peckville.
He truly enjoyed restoring his antique cars, and listening to Elvis Presley. His greatest joy was his newly born Great-Granddaughter; Anna Marie.
Surviving is a son; Richard and wife, Courtney, Archbald; grandson, Richard III and granddaughter, Julia Newberry, Archbald; Brother, Thomas and wife, Barbara, Fleetville; sister, Mary Ann O'horo, Jessup,; nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was a brother; Edward.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Louis J Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St. Archbald, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Viewing Wednesday 5- to 8 p.m.
