Raymond Pacini Obituary

Raymond R. Pacini, 83, of Moosic, formerly of Peckville, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.  He was the caring husband of Marlene Teetie Pacini. They were married for 57 glorious years.

Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Marcelia Ciampichini Pacini.  Ray graduated from Blakely High School, class of 1958 and University of Scranton in 1962 where he earned his teaching degree.  He also served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam era.  A member of Queen of Angels Parish, Jessup, Ray was actively involved and held chief appointments in the Catholic Charismatic Order since 1991 and believed in the power of prayer. Ray held diverse teaching jobs but favored his Human Resource position at Gould Battery, Dunmore, prior to his retirement.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting, however, he found greatest pleasure being with his devoted family. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed at family gatherings.

Besides his wife, Marlene, surviving are two sons, Richard Pacini and wife, Amy, Branchburg, New Jersey, and Mark Pacini and wife, Damaris, Austin, Texas; sister, Rita Moskal, Gahanna, Ohio; grandchildren Luke, Cole, Sara, Ava and Noah Pacini and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Sister-in-law Joyce Westgate, and her daughter, Lisa Jablonski and husband, Brian, and son Christian.

Preceding him in death were brothers, Robert, Chester Pacini and sister Clara Pacini. Brother-in-law, Ben Moskal, and sisters-in law, Lucille and Helen Pacini

The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to Joseph Barresse for his kindness and attention and to the Divine Mercy Group for their spiritual guidance in Ray’s final days.  Also, special thank you to Dr. Kenneth Sebastianelli and the staff at Glenmaura Senior Living, Christine Kubic, the granddaughter of Joseph Simoncelli (who gave him his first job) for her compassionate care in Ray’s final journey.
