Ralph J. Minichello, 84, of Eynon, died on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton after a brief illness.  He was the loving husband of Carole Zenkavich Minichello.  They were married for 55 years.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Ralph and Sadie Bubil Minichello. He graduated from Scranton High School and prior to retirement worked as a Technician for PG&W company. He was a faithful parishioner of Christ the King parish, St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Eynon.    

Ralph enjoyed attending any sporting events his grandsons participated in.  Whether it was football or swim meets.  He also was delighted in watching his granddaughters cheering and playing softball. Ralph was their biggest fan and loved them dearly.  His grandchildren adored him as he was everything to them. From their babysitter to their biggest backyard competitor, he played basketball, kickball, golf, and swam every summer with them.  Many memories were made on their yearly trips to Disney World.  They loved planning park restaurants, fishing trips, and waiting for favorite rides together.  Words can’t describe how much he will be missed.   

Surviving is a daughter, Krissi Lastauskas and husband Jeff, Waverly; grandchildren;  Nico and Matthew Lastauskas,  Abigayle Cashuric,and Skylar Minichello,

Preceding him in death was a son, Ralph J. Minichello who died April 12, 2013, a brother Paul Smith, a sister Eleanor Jovanelly and brother-in-laws Donny Delmore, Lew Gardner and great nephew Lewi Gardner III.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Saturday, February 27, 2021 at St. Mary of Czestochowa, Eynon.   Viewing will be at the Church, 9:00 am to time of service. Committal will be private at a future date.
