It is with greatest sadness to announce the passing of Michael Cawley Cipilewski, 28, of Jessup, who died unexpectedly at work, from a recently diagnosed seizure disorder. He was a caring son to Brett and Stacey Kime Cawley of Peckville.
Born in Scranton, he attended Valley View High School, Class of 2013 and then graduated with a BS in Biology from Marywood College in May 2018. He worked at Saint Gobain Corporation, Olyphant as a Chemical Process Operator and was newly promoted to Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator. Michael was valued and respected by his fellow employees.
Michael will always be remembered for his outlandish sense of humor, fearless attitude, and ambition. He was the happiest working on his cars, snowboarding on the slopes and fishing for Stripers and Walleye to the smallest Panfish. He also dreamed of being a professional angler. But most of all, Michael loved. He loved his family, his friends, and his beautiful girlfriend, Sofia. He also loved hanging out with his two boxer dogs, Bailey and Kaia, which Michael referred them as his canine family. Taken from us all too soon, Michael will be truly missed by all who had the enjoyable pleasure to share in his brief life.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, Brett and Stacey are his grandparents, Donald Kime, Jessup; and William and Beverly Maxwell Cawley, Peckville; his loving companion, Sofia Shaikh; Aunts, Dawn Paciotti and companion, Joe Gerek, Peckville; Brittany Cawley, Peckville; Uncles, William Cawley, Jr, and wife Gina, Archbald; Donald Kime, Jermyn; Keith Kime and companion, Christine Hall, Peckville and numerous cousins.
Preceding in death was his maternal grandmother, Marie Polovitch Kime, who died Jan. 31, 2018.
A celebration of Michael’s life will take place at the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St. Archbald on Tuesday, February 28 at 7 pm with Reverend Nestor Soto, Cornerstone Alliance Church, Dickson City. Viewing from 5 to 7 PM, prior to service.
