Mary T. “Molly” Gilmartin, 79, a lifelong resident of Archbald, PA, passed away suddenly December 25, 2020 at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. Born in the Mid-Valley Hospital, Peckville, June 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Jerome D. and Mollie Castner Gilmartin. She graduated from Archbald High School, class of 1958 and retired from RCA, Dunmore, PA.

Molly was a devout and faithful Catholic; a parishioner of Christ the King Parish.  She had a zest for life and always had a kind word to say. She was loved by her friends and neighbors and was always happy when they came to visit.  With her Mother Mollie and Aunt Mildred “Babe” Vale she was a much-loved member of the Archbald Choo-Choo Belles. 

She is survived by her brother, Jerome Gilmartin and his wife Marie, Madison Township, PA; niece Ann Grady, husband Richard and their daughters Shannon and Charlotte, Stony Brook, NY; niece Joan Cummings and husband Christopher, Honeoye Falls, NY. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM, St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Christ the King Parish, Archbald. Condolences may be expressed one hour prior to the Mass at the Church. Inurnment at St. Thomas Cemetery, Archbald, will follow the Mass. Due to COVID-19 concerns, no luncheon is planned.
