Mary G. Milo, 78, of Carbondale Township, died Friday at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center where she was a resident. She was the widow of Louis J. Milo, Sr., who died on April 12, 2022. The couple would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on December 28, 2022.
Born in Peckville, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Winifred Murray Naughton. Mary was a graduate of Archbald High School and a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald.
Mary was a loving, gentle and wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend to all who knew her. She loved Western Line Dancing and was a member of the Anthracite Rose Western Dance Club. She also was owner of Mary Kay Trucking and worked as a cook at Carbondale Nursing Home and did private duty for home health care. Mary loved the nurses, aides and the loving care she received while she was a resident at the Carbondale Nursing Home. She especially lover her roommate, Marie. Together they established a special friendship.
Surviving is a caring daughter, Ann Marie Milo, Florida; daughter- in- law, Donna Buranich Milo, three sisters, Judith Phillips, Helen McDermott and companion J. Michael Mulloy, and Rosarii Gillian; a brother, Robert (Rusty) Naughton; grandchildren, Steven Walsh and wife, Haley; Tyler and Mackenzie Milo and great-grandchildren, Hannah and Hunter Walsh and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Preceding her in death was her son, Louis J. Milo, Jr. and four brothers, Patrick, Joseph, John and Jerry Naughton and two sisters, Winifred Sankey Naughton and Kathryn Naughton and two nephews, Timothy and Joseph Naughton.
Mass of Christian Burial is Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Christ the King Parish, Archbald. Viewing at Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home from 8:30 to 9:30 am prior to service. Interment following at St. Thomas Aquinas Church Cemetery.
