Mary Curtis Dolph, 79, passed away at her home surrounded by her devoted husband Thomas and her loving family. They would have been married 57 years on September 5th.
Born in Archbald ,she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Dougher Curtis. Mary attended Archbald schools and graduated from Archbald High School. She was a faithful member of Christ the King Parish, and prior to retirement, was employed by Stafursky Bus Company as a Bus Driver. .
Mary was an active member within the community. She loved her church, baking and her grandchildren and was always willing to help anyone in need. She had an infectious smile and found the good qualities in everyone.
In addition to her husband Tom, she is survived by her sons Thomas, Jr and wife Karen, Archbald; Mark and companion Tracy, Peckville; daughter Michele and companion Orlando, Blakely; 3 Grandchildren, Jessica Sabato and husband Ricky, Dunmore; Thomas Dolph III and wife Jennifer, Archbald; and Emma Conway, Blakely. Sisters, Barbara Sidlauskas and husband David; Margaret “Peggy” Farina and husband Gary; and Judy Gilroy and husband John (Gutz); Brothers, Gerald Curtis and wife Mary Jane; John Curtis and wife Margaret; and Robert “Herbie” Curtis and companion Betty Ann Kellogg; Sister-in Law, Roseann Anderson, nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt.
Preceding Mary in death were brothers, Eugene “Beaner” Curtis and Gerald “Moe” Curtis.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore and Betty Ann Curtis.
Viewing will be on Friday, August 6, from 4 to 7 pm at Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St., Archbald. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 10 am at Christ the King Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment, St. Thomas Aquinas Church Cemetery.
