Louis J. Milo, Sr., 79, of Carbondale died Tuesday morning at the Regional in Scranton. His wife is the former Mary G. Naughton. The couple recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
Born in Carbondale, he was a son of the late James Milo, Sr. and Mary Colachino Milo. Lou was a well- known, talented mechanic, truck driver, large equipment operator. He had his own trucking and excavating business in Archbald prior to his retirement. Lou was gifted and a master at building homes.
Lou was a loving, caring and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was always the one who joked and made you laugh. He loved going for his nightly coffee with his best bud and cousin, Mike McConnell.
Surviving is a caring daughter, Ann Marie Milo, Florida; Grandson Steven Walsh and wife, Haley, Blakely; great-granddaughters, Hannah Walsh and Mackenzie Milo and great-grandsons, Hunter Walsh and Tyler Milo; a brother James, Carbondale; his daughter- in- law, Donna Milo, Newton Ransom; a nephew, James, Carbondale and a niece, Lisa Miller, Virginia.
Preceding him was his son, Louis J. Milo, Jr. and a niece Mary Ann Milo.
Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, April 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Christ the King Parish, Archbald. Interment following services at St. Thomas Aquinas Church Cemetery. Viewing Private.
