Joseph M. Morisco, 81, of Archbald, passed away Friday, at Geisinger CMC Scranton.  He was a high school sweetheart and loving husband of Judith A. Burke Morisco. They celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Joseph was the son of the late Joseph F. and Leona Drake Morisco.  Upon graduation from Archbald High School, he enlisted in the US Navy where he was stationed at Mare Island Naval Shipyard - Vallejo, Calif. and Midway Island, Central Pacific Ocean.  He was employed at Tobyhanna Army Depot until age 48 when he retired and then started his own electrical contracting business with his son until he officially retired.  Joseph was a member of Christ the King Parish, Archbald and member of Schiller Lodge #345 F&AM, Keystone Consistory, and the Dallas Shriners.  He also was a past member of the Archbald A.C.    

Joseph enjoyed traveling with his wife and visiting family in the South until his health declined.  He had a passion for fishing and was a NASCAR enthusiast. He will be greatly missed at family gatherings.

Besides his wife Judith, surviving are son Joseph and wife Kelley, Archbald and a daughter, Meg (Margaret A.) and husband Stephen J. Sladicka, Hickory, NC; sister, Ann Marie “Cookie” and husband George Archibald, Justus; Grandchildren, Joseph and Katelyn Morisco, Ashley and Kayla Sladicka, Brittany Martin and husband Jakob, Greatgrandchildren Harper Elizabeth and Brennan Alexander Martin and a nephew George Archibald and wife Amy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am, Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Christ the King Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald.  Viewing Tuesday 6 - 8 PM with Masonic Services at 7 PM at the funeral home. Interment St. Thomas Aquinas Church Cemetery following mass.   Donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Fl. 33607.
