James "Jamie" Zigray Obituary

James “Jamie” Zigray of Clarks Summit passed away April 20th. His wife and best friend is the former Linda Zahradnick. They were married for 46 years.

Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Ruth Zigray of Dickson City. He was a graduate of Dunmore Central Catholic High School and the University of Scranton. He founded Sealmor Industries which he proudly owned and operated with his wife, Linda, for over 32 years until their retirement. He was a member of Glen Oak Country Club where he spent time playing golf with his family and friends, especially his golf partner John.

Jamie lived his life for his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, brother-in-law and uncle but his favorite thing in the whole world was being “Grampy” to his four grandchildren Kai, Kirstyn, Andi and Arden. They were the light of his life and his love for them will live on forever in their hearts.

He is survived by his son, Ryan Zigray and wife, Chiara, Dalton; daughter, Tracy Yorkonis and husband, Aaron, Lafayette Hill; two brothers, Thomas Zigray and wife, Sandy, Dalton, and Robert Zigray and wife, Sandy, Florida; nephews: Jason and Stephen Zigray, Dalton; Brandon Kearney, Washington, DC and nephew/godson, Scott Kearney and fiancée, Brianna Murphy, Rockville, MD; sister-in-law, Cathy Kearney and husband, Jack, Archbald and four grandchildren, Kai and Kirstyn Zigray and Andi and Arden Yorkonis.

As per Jamie’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Jamie’s name may be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter.
