Gloria A. Marsili

Gloria A. Marsili, 89, of Peckville entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 25th.  Her husband Leonard died on March 9, 2001.  She was the daughter to the late John and Edith Ligi Gambini and Stepdaughter to the late Mary Errigo Gambini.

Born in Peckville, she was a graduate of Blakely High School and worked for over 20 years in the cafeteria for the Valley View School District.  Gloria was a faithful member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish, Peckville.

Gloria is survived by her loving son, Larry and daughter-in-law, Denise, Apalachin, NY, and the love of her life, Grandson, Matthew, Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law Ann Griebowski Gambini.  She was predeceased by her brothers, Leslie and John Gambini, Jr., and stepbrother, Anthony Crea.

Gloria's family wishes to acknowledge the following individuals: Tammy Esgro and Cala Tolerico who were gifts from God as they compassionately and professionally cared for Gloria beyond explanation.  They will forever be considered members of her family; Neighbor Al Baldoni for his friendship and “Never Saying No ” to Gloria’s countless requests at any time of the day or night; Cousin Armond Cassetori for his unending willingness to assist Gloria whenever called upon; Neighbor Nancy DiMatteo for her unlimited friendship; Sister Maureen Marion for years of infinite companionship and spiritual guidance;  and most recently, the staff  of the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center, as well as Traditional Hospice, for their kind and compassionate care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 30th at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 1101 Willow St., Peckville, PA.  Interment St. John’s Cemetery, Jessup.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday, October 29th, at the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St., Archbald, PA, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
