Genevieve A. Podchaski

Genevieve A. Podchaski, 86, a guest at Mid Valley Manor, formerly of Eynon, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021.  She was the daughter to the late Frank and Agnes Burok Podchaski. 

Genevieve was a graduate of Archbald High School, Class of 1953, and from Lackawanna Jr. College.  She was a devoted member of Christ the King Parish, St. Mary of Czestochowa Church and a member of the  Altar and Rosary Society.  She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and baking and spent several years volunteering at the parish annual church picnic.  She was a kind and caring woman who would, without hesitation, extend herself to help others.  Prior to her retirement she worked at International Correspondence School (ICS), Scranton as a computer programmer.

Surviving Genevieve are an abundance of faithful cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. The family would also like to acknowledge, with appreciation, her physicians and all the care givers and staff at Mid Valley Manor.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, December 14 at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Czestochowa Church, Eynon by Reverend Clement Yaboah.  Viewing 9 to 10:30 AM prior to services at the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St. Archbald.  Interment St. Mary’s Vilna Cemetery, Eynon.
