Francis J. Benitez

Francis J. Benitez, 64, of Eynon, passed away unexpectedly on June 12 at his home.  He was the caring son to Thomas F. Benitez, Sr., Eynon and the late Mary Ann Wall Benitez who died in 2017.  His loving companion of 17 years, JoAnne Torch, was at his side.

Born in Peckville, Frank graduated from Valley View High School and became a qualified Treatment Specialist and was employed for Clarks Summit State Hospital until his illness.   He enjoyed creating things with his hands.   He loved models, puzzles, woodworking, RC cars and planes and especially anything with an electrical component.  Computers and gaming consoles were his specialty.  He gained pleasure in his hobbies and had greatest passion for two topics that he enjoyed above all else: World War II and Outer Space.  The History Channel was always on his TV or was producing chaotic adventures to far off Galaxies. 

Francis is also survived by his loving son, whom he treasured, Kenneth Benitez and companion, Stephanie Gaston, Jessup and a brother, Thomas Benitez, Jr., Jessup.
