Eleanor Yesalavage

Eleanor Yesalavage, 86, of Eynon passed away January 20, 2021 at Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Facility surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Paul “Chas” Yesalavage who died December 13, 2001.
Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Luke John and Ida Ducksta Snell.
Eleanor was a 1952 graduate of Archbald High School. Before retirement, she was employed at Loral Corp/Lockheed Martin, Archbald. She was a faithful member of Christ the King Parish, St. Mary of Czestochowa, Eynon and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Eleanor was a loving mother, and grandmother who will be sadly missed. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, and visiting with her neighbors who she loved dearly.
Surviving are two daughters, Paula, and husband Joe Turpack, Eynon; Patricia and husband Robert Cameron, Cary, NC, a son, Paul Yesalavage, Jr. and companion Jaclyn Schaeffer, Eynon; sisters Patricia and husband William Bohn, West Pittston and Joan Stauskas, Texas; and two granddaughters who brought her so much joy and happiness, Brittney Cameron and Ashley Turpack, and beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death is a granddaughter, Alana Turpack and brother, Luke Snell.
Eleanor's children wish to express a sincere appreciation to LeeAnn Zielinski Yeselavage who provided loving care and assistance to Eleanor, who was suffering from dementia. They would also like to thank the staff at Geisinger Hospital Wyoming Valley and the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab facility for all the care they provided to Eleanor.
Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 10 AM in Christ the King Parish, St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Eynon. Viewing one hour prior to mass at the church. Private Interment St. Francis Cemetery, Eynon.
