Dolores Rose Urbanski

Dolores Rose Urbanski, 92, formerly of Greenfield Township, passed away peacefully at Green Ridge Nursing Center, Scranton on Thursday, February 15, 2024.  She was the devoted wife of the late, Matthew R. Urbanski who died May 26, 2013.  They spent over 60 joyous years together.

Born in Eynon, she was the daughter of the late, Joseph and Nellie Tragis Gudasky.  A graduate from Archbald High School and a faithful member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.  

Dolores is survived by her devoted son, Mark and wife, Marie, Great Mills, Maryland and a daughter, Sandra Maier, NYC, NY; two granddaughters, Melanie Unser and Tiffany Sibley and five great- grandchildren, Brooke, Alyssa, Aaden, Sophie and Skylar and several nieces and nephews.    

She was preceded in death by her brothers Frank and James Gudasky and sisters, Frances Unovitch and Esther (Anastasia) Kvetkoski.

Dolores was the kind and loving mother.  She enjoyed a house full of laughter and a table full of family and dear friends.  She lived life to the fullest and made you feel welcomed.  Cooking her ethnic dishes was a treasure to behold.  Her passing leaves a great void.

Viewing will be Thursday, February 22nd at the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, Archbald from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 23rd, at St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale at 10 A.M. Those attending the funeral are asked to proceed directly to the Church. Entombment Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township.
