Constance Yaninek, RN, 87, of Jermyn died peacefully Monday morning at Arden Courts of Susquehanna, Harrisburg following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late John Yaninek who died on March 10, 2018.
Born in Eynon, she was a daughter to the late Michael and Viola Zelno Maskal. Connie was a graduate of Archbald High School and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, NYC, where she received her registered nursing degree. Prior to her retirement, she worked at the Mid-Valley Hospital, Peckville over 25 faithful years. Connie was a member of St. John Vianney Church, Montdale and was actively involved in the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) program.
Connie took great pride in her nursing career and it was witnessed by the kind words of appreciation received from her countless number of patients. She had a warm heart, a kind and gentle manner to comfort those in her care. Her ability to put you at ease, her wit and her infectious smile will forever be remembered.
Surviving is a son, Attorney John F. Yaninek and wife Kathleen, Harrisburg; three beloved grandchildren, Zachary, Aleksander, and Tatiana and dearest neighbors, Charles and Shirley Warholic, Jermyn.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Jerome “Jerry” Maskal.
The funeral will be Saturday, July 2 with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. John Vianney Church, Montdale celebrated by Father Michael Kirwin. Viewing Friday from 7 to 9 PM at the Louis J.
