Clarie Delores Rogers, 99, formerly of Eynon, died on Sunday, August 6. She was the loving wife of the late Raymond Rogers who died November 9, 2009 after 62 years of marriage.
Born in Archbald, daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Bilski. Claire attended Archbald grade school and graduated from Archbald High School in 1942. Was employed as a secretary in New York, and later assisted her husband in the operation of Ray Rogers T.V. and Appliances, Peckville for many glorious years.
Claire was a faithful member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Eynon and a member of the Sacred Heart, Altar and Rosary Society, and St Mary’s Senior Choir. She also was the Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post #624, Eynon, ten-year member of the Eynon Girl Scout Troop #183, Member of the Mid-Valley Hospital Auxiliary, Peckville, Retreatant Member of St. Gabiel’s Monastery, Clarks Summit and volunteered several years for the local Cancer Society drive.
Surviving are her son, Ronald Rogers and wife, Maxine, and daughters, Sandra Selesky and husband, Paul and Catherine Dlabaj and husband, Bob; grandchildren, Rebecca Kreig and husband, John and Autumn Naniewicz and husband, Edward; great-grandchildren, Abigail Kreig and Peyton and Parker Naniewicz.
Preceding her in death were her sisters, Mary Ann Wiley, Victoria Cahill, Louise Swiat, Ann McLaughlin, Agnes Swiat, Frances Warren, Margaret Neary, Josephine Bilski, and brothers, Michael, Bernard, Peter, Steven and John Bilski.
