Barbara Joan Lemoncelli, 87, of Archbald, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at home surrounded by her caring family. She was the loving wife to Egidio “Scotty” Lemoncelli. They were married for 68 years.
Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late John and Nellie Harralchak Sysak. Barbara graduated from Olyphant High School, Class of 1952 and was a shoe factory worker prior to becoming a driver for NEIU school students, a position she enjoyed so much. She was a faithful parishioner of Christ the King Parish, Archbald.
Barbara lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed dancing and singing to the oldies, going to the movies, antique shopping, and in her younger years was an avid bowler. Her doll collection gave her great pride and delight. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and will sadly be missed at all family gatherings.
Surviving is Barbara’s beloved son, Giles, whom she resided with and who took care of her daily and son, Robert and wife, Sandy, Pittston; daughter, Lynda Rieder and husband Robert, Nottingham, Maryland; grandchildren; Robert, Jenna, Brooke Flake, Courtney Nielsen and seven great-grandchildren; a sister Betty Reid, Windsor, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was a stepbrother, Paul Harralchak.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Christ the King Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald. Inurnment following the service at St. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery, Peckville. Family will receive condolences from 9am till service time at the church.
The family would like to thank Allied Services Hospice Unit for their dedication and kindness to Barbara. They will be forever grateful. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s name to American Cancer Society.
