Ann M. Paone

Ann M. Paone, 94, of Archbald, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Lackawanna Health Care Facility, Sturges after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Joseph P. Paone who died on May 7, 2002.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rose Mastroiani Marino, Ann graduated from Scranton Tech and worked as a seamstress at Padre and Excelsior Garment Factories. She was a faithful parishioner of Christ the King parish, Archbald and a member of the ILGWU.
Ann had a zest for life and an infectious laugh and smile. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, shopping trips, needlepoint, word search puzzles and in her younger years she was an avid roller skater. She loved hosting Sunday dinners and will sadly be missed at all family gatherings.
Surviving are sons, Joseph and wife Sharon, Peckville; John “Jack” and wife Patricia, Archbald; James and wife Judy, Archbald; grandchildren; Jeff and wife Lisa Paone, Eynon, Gina Monastra and husband Tony, Archbald, Joseph Paone and companion Rachel, Jermyn, John and wife Donna Paone, Old Forge, Gary and wife Nicole Paone, Olyphant, Lindsay Mack and husband Dan, Carbondale, Gregory and companion Alexzandra, Archbald; Great-grandchildren, Christopher Taramelli, Justin Paone, Zack Swingle, Samantha Swingle, Lucas Paone, Haley Paone, Sophia Monastra, Nico Monastra and Anthony Paone; brother Louis Marino and wife Rosarie, Scranton; sister Catherine Mazzitelli, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was a son, Gary, a Grandson Anthony and Granddaughter, Carol Ann; brothers Carl, Anthony, Frank, John and infant bothers, Charles and James Marino, and sisters; Mary Kosko and Carol (Babe) Pettinato.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am, Thursday, Jan 21, 2021 on Ann’s birthday at Christ the King Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Archbald. Private interment following the service at St. Thomas Church Cemetery, Archbald. Viewing Wednesday from 6 -8 PM at the Funeral Home.
