Peter J Rovinsky Sr

Peter J Rovinsky Sr, 60, of Jessup, passed away Friday morning at Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness. 

Born April 15, 1956 in Peckville, he was a son of Mary Bilski Rovinsky and the late John T Rovinsky.  Pete was a 1975 graduate of Valley View High School and worked for Cinram.  He was a member of the Shopa Davey VFW Post 6082, Peckville; the Jessup VFW Post 5544 and the Hrichak-McAndrew American Legion Post 869.  Pete was a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Dallas Cowboys; enjoyed golf and loved watching his grandson, Zach play basketball.  He was a big Valley View follower, especially the Friday night football games. 

He is survived by his mother, Peckville; son, Peter J Rovinsky Jr and wife, Lisa, Waymart; daughter, Jennifer Rovinsky and her boyfriend, Jeff McHale, Archbald; brother, Jerry Rovinsky and his wife, Kate, Archbald; sister, Jane Tomkavage and her boyfriend, Bob Simonik, Peckville; grandchildren, Zachary, Mia Rose and Noah Rovinsky; nephews, Michael and Scott Rovinsky and Robert Tomkavage; niece, Anne Rovinsky; numerous cousins and friends; girlfriend, Marykay Novak and former wife, Patti Franchak.  He is also survived by his beloved dog, Toby.

Pete was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Andrew Tomkavage.

Friends may call from 5pm until time of prayer service at 8pm Monday at the Louis J Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St Archbald.  Msgr Patrick Pratico, officiating.
