Mary Elizabeth Makala, 67, Blakely, passed away peacefully, Thursday April 26, 2018, at home. Her husband was the late Robert Richard Makala, who passed Sunday, May 29, 2011.
Born Monday, December 25, 1950 in Peckville, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward W. and Helen Millinder Levandowski. Mary was a 1968 graduate of Archbald High School, a member of Christ the King Parish and was formerly, a seamstress in the garment industry.
Surviving is a brother, Edward Levandowski, Archbald; sister Catherine Levandowski, Olyphant; nieces and nephews; Jessica Levandowski and spouse Kimberly Boris, Throop; Brenda and husband Dominick Perini, East Stroudsburg; Arlene Levandowski Conserette, Archbald and godson, Douglas Masiuk, Denver, CO. Also surviving are her great-nephews and great-niece, Adam and Nicholas “Nico” Perini; and Alexander, Benjamin and Melanie Conserette.
Mary is preceded in death by her sister Ann Marie Martin, and her sister-in-law, Melanie Brojack Levandowski.
Mary was a devout Catholic who, walked with courage and dignity to her savior Jesus Christ. She was loving and generous to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30 am at Christ the King Parish, St Thomas Aquinas Church, 429 Church Street, Archbald. Family and friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 pm at the Louis J Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St, Archbald.
