Elizabeth A (Swierczek) Narvid

Elizabeth A. "Betty" Narvid, 85, Eynon, died November 8, 2018 at Allied Services Hospice Center. Her husband was the late Bernard B. Narvid.

Elizabeth was born September 17, 1933 in Olyphant, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Agatha Brzostoski Swierczek. She was a lifelong resident of Eynon and a graduate of Olyphant High School. Past president of the PTA and a Cub Scout leader, Betty enjoyed sewing, cooking, especially Polish ethnic foods and her family. She retired from Casket Shells in Eynon. 

Betty is survived by her children: Gregory Narvid, Hampton, VA, David Narvid and Mary Ann Hayes, Scranton PA, Stephen Narvid, Eagleville, PA, Judy and husband Mark Walter, Umatilla,FL, Matthew and wife Barbara Narvid, Kingston, PA, and Paul and Christine Muthig, Wayzata,MN; Grandchildren: Gregg Narvid (Greg), Lisa Lemons and Jeff Narvid (Dave), Beverly, Rachel, Luke Walter and Natalie King (Judy), Jessica and Michael Narvid (Matt); and Great-Grandchildren: Alex, Stephanie, and Niko Lemons, Luke Walter Jr. , and Bennett Narvid. 

Betty was preceded in death by her siblings: Roman Swierczek, Benedict Swierczek, John Swierczek, Rose Dziedzic, Eleanor Swierczek, Helen Kraycer, Martha Kolosinsky and an infant sister. 

Betty’s family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Allied Services Hospice Center for their wonderful care during mom’s transition to eternal life.

Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 9:30 am Wednesday at the Louis Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church Street Archbald. Inurnment will be held privately, at a later date, at St. Michael's Cemetery, Blakely.
