Aldona Maria (Zakarusky) Lowe

Lowe, Aldona Maria, Scranton, passed away peacefully, Tuesday morning, at home. She was the widow of David T Lowe, who passed away in 1986.

Born Thursday, June 17, 1926 in Scranton, Aldona was a daughter of the late Bolus and Anna Zelonis Zakarusky. She was a seamstress in the garment industry for many years. Aldona was a member of Divine Mercy Parish at St Joseph’s Church and loved sewing and praying. She prayed every morning before doing anything else. 

She is survived by her sons; Raymond Lowe and wife, Margaret, David Lowe and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Jonathan and girlfriend, Maryanna Eisner, Charles and fiancé, Jamie, David III, Raymond Jr., Lynn, Lorianne and Cindy.  Also survived by numerous great-grandchildren. 

Preceding Aldona in death, was her son, Charles; granddaughter Lisa; great-grandson Raymond III; brother, John Zakarusky and sisters, Sister Evangelista, I.H.M., Sister Gabriel Marie, I.H.M., Elba Zakarusky and Magdalene Nayavich.

At Aldona’s request, there will be no viewing.  A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
