Alice M. Fife, 88, of Archbald, died Tuesday at Aventura at Terrace View, Peckville. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Florence Dougher Smith.
Alice was a graduate of Archbald High School and, before retirement, she was a devoted aide where she provided compassion and gentle kindness to the children at St. Joseph Center, Scranton. She was a faithful member of Christ the King Parish and its Altar and Rosary Society. Alice, with her brother, Tucker, whom she resided with, were loyal fans to the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies and rarely missed watching a game together while proudly cheering for their favorite teams.
Surviving are her devoted brother, William F. Smith, Blakely; and her loving niece, Deborah Guenther, Pittsburgh; two nephews, Lawrence Smith and wife, Kamal, New Jersey; and William Smith Jr. and wife, Erin, Virginia; two great-nieces, Kim and husband, Ryan Miren; and Sarah and husband, Adam Lake; and three great-nephews, Sunil Smith and wife, Holly; Steven Guenther and wife, Chelsea; and Conor Smith.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas “Tucker” Smith, who died a month prior on Jan. 20; her sister-in-law, Joan Smith; and niece, Colleen Smith.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Christ the King Parish, Archbald. Viewing will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Louis J. Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church St., Archbald. Interment, parish cemetery.
