Paul J ‘Pauly’ ‘Piker’ Yanochick, 57, Winton, died unexpectedly, Thursday, April 07, at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. Born Tuesday, August 12, 1958, in Peckville, Pa., the only son of the late Paul and Hannah (Fletcher) Yanochick. He is survived by his Aunt Gertrude and Uncle James Walsh, Archbald, Aunt Marion Yanochick, Peckville, and numerous cousins.
A graduate of the former Jessup High School, he was formerly employed with Suckle Corporation, where he was a member of the softball team for many years. Pauly was a social member of the American Legion Hricak-McAndrew Post #869, and the Eynon VFW Post #7963. He was an avid billiard’s player, and belonged to the Mid-Valley and Scranton Pool Leagues. He was a dedicated hunter and fisherman, and loved to be outdoors. He enjoyed many a boxing match with his Dad, and Uncle Jim.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7:30 pm, Sunday, April 10, at the Louis J Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church Street, Archbald. A celebration of life service will begin at 7:30 pm. Rodney Fowler will be the celebrant.
