Marion Rutkosky, of Archbald, died Wednesday morning at home, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Francis J. Rutkosky, who passed away July 25, 1987.
Born Monday, July 30, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Henrietta Pugliano Moro. Marion was the owner of Fran’s Café, where she was a proud sponsor of the softball team; a member of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society; was on the Democratic Committee for 30 years and was a school crossing guard. Marion loved Polka’s and Lawrence Welk, but most of all, she cherished taking care of her 3 boys.
Surviving are her sons, Fran and Joseph Rutkosky; grandson, Adam Rutkosky and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her son, Michael; sisters, Dorothy Marek and Janet Skinner and brothers, Joseph and Michael Moro.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Pennsylvania Home Health and Hospice; Mid Valley Manor and Health Care; AmeriCare and Dr Frank Moro. Also to her caregivers and friends, Cathy Inells and Sarah Harrison.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30am at Christ the King Parish, Archbald. Interment will follow at Mother of Sorrows Cemetery.
