Kathleen J (Plath) Kozlowski

Kathleen J. Plath Kozlowski of Archbald, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton.  Her husband is Joseph B. Kozlowski of Archbald.

“Mama Koz” was born in New York City, N.Y., daughter of the late Joseph and Lydia Formulo Plath.  She was employed by MetLife Insurance Company as a processor, was a 1965 graduate of Archbald High School. Kathleen took great pride in her children and grandchildren. Kathleen was a loyal friend and generous soul.  Throughout her life and illness, Kathleen showed admirable strength and resilience. Kathleen was a member of Christ the King Parish, St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Also surviving are her daughters, Renee Kozlowski, Brooklyn and Kara (Joseph) Meyers, Brooklyn; her son, Daniel (Katrina) Kozlowski, Essex, Vermont; brother, Darren (Karen) Plath, Linfield, PA; sisters, Lynn Mauser, Olyphant and Karen (Clem) Kalafut, Jessup; grandchildren, Dylan, Lori and Kaitlyn; in laws, Gene (Rose) Kozlowski;  Aunt Genevieve Welch, Hazelton; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Preceding her in death are her daughter, Lori and sister Sharon Tregaskis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday April 23, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, Archbald.
