Julie D Villegas

Julie D Villegas, 31, Olyphant, passed away Saturday morning at her home.

Born Tuesday, June 25, 1985 in Scranton, Pa., she was the daughter of Joseph M Sr and Elizabeth (Bentler) Villegas. She was a graduate of Mid Valley High School, and the Lackawanna Vocational Technical School of Nursing. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse with area nursing homes, and loved caring for the elderly. She had an amazingly close relationship with her paternal grandmother Dorothy (Brenzel) Villegas, Jessup. She will truly be missed by her large circle of friends.

Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother Joseph M Villegas Jr, who passed on June 22, 2003; Her maternal grandparents Joseph and Irene Brown, her paternal grandfather Manuel Villegas, and her uncles, James Villegas and Joseph Brown Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, at 9:30 am, at Holy Cross Parish, St Patrick’s Catholic Church, 200 Delaware Avenue, Olyphant. Those attending mass are asked to go directly to the church. Interment to follow at St Patrick’s Cemetery. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, 5-8 pm, at the Louis J Rapoch Funeral Home, 420 Church Street, Archbald.
