Gloria Faith (Miller) Pearson, 89, Scranton, passed away peacefully, Tuesday the twenty-sixth of September, two thousand seventeen, 10:00 a.m. at Green Ridge Health Care Center, Sanderson Avenue, Scranton. Her husband, a retired U.S. Naval man, & Veteran, Willard Louis Pearson Sr, preceded her Wednesday, the twenty-fifth of October, two thousand. They had been married for fifty three years.

Born Friday, the sixth of April, nineteen twenty eight, in Mount Carmel, Northumberland County, she was the daughter of the late William and Jennie (Reedinger) Miller. Before retiring, Gloria was an inspector for Capital Records. She loved to indulge herself with television soap operas, and was amazing with a jigsaw puzzle. She was an avid reader of just about anything. Gloria was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Her great grandchildren were the light of her life.

Surviving are her sons Willard Jr. ‘Chuck’ and wife Cynthia Pearson, Volo, Il; David, India; daughter Roberta, California; Grandchildren Magan and husband David Cunningham, Illinois; Kevin Michael Pearson, Illinois; Robert, Pennsylvania; Kristen, Moscow; Jason, Maryland; Yancy, Pennsylvania; and great grandsons Jackson and Connor Cunningham; her sister Dorothy and husband Eugene Rose, Scranton; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her brothers James Miller, and William Miller; and her sister Viola Jean Michel.

At Gloria’s request, there was no viewing or visitation. Graveside service with private interment took place at Fairview Memorial Park's Veteran's section, Elmhurst, Pa., on Thursday, September 28.
